Star Reading Test.

Star Test

Room 12 and Room 11 students all had to do the Star Reading Test. We were all very scared because we thought we were going to fail the Test.

Firstly Mrs Golder said, “Five more minutes to go until the test begins.”

                   

Then the test began and I was so nervous and I was sweating like a dog. Then it was time to read the question and answer it. The Star test is about understanding the meaning of the word that you are reading.

Then the test was over and I was very relieved and happy that we were finished with the reading test.

We were all thinking that we were going to fail the test and I was so worried that I might get the lowest score out of my whole class. Then when Mrs Golder called out our score, I was very proud of myself. 
When I got home I told my parents what had happened and they were very proud too.

The Poetry Recital Finalist.

Last Week on Friday we had a Poetry Recital. 
We started with Room 1 and finished with Room 12. The Room 12 finalists were Florida and Elizabeth because Miria wasn't here on Friday. Then we finished our Poetry Recital with a closing statement from Mrs Vickers to all the parents who came to the Poetry Recital.
At the end of the Poetry Recital I think that all the kids who recited their poems were very confident standing in front of the whole school representing their class.

The Room 10 Syndicate Assembly.

On Monday we had a Syndicate Assembly and Room 10 was hosting it. Firstly they talked about a story then they present a work art that they made. Then we sang a song about how the All Blacks won the Rugby World Cup and the next song was about our country being the Champion World Cup. We left the multi purpose room and everyone had enjoyed the show that Room 10 hosted.
